Out Tonight! Late Night Love Therapy, by Todd Johnson & The The Revolvers

Out now. Right now. The epic Late Night Love Therapy, by Todd Johnson & The Revolvers. I co-produced this record over the last two-plus years, as we put together some of the best musicians in Charlotte for three different records, all rolled into one. Check it out at the link below, and wherever you find good music.

If you played on this record, thank you. If you enjoy this record, thank you. It's been a journey, but this is some of the best music I've gotten to oversee, and it stands as a testament to what good music and friends are capable of.
Come out to Todd's album release party at The Evening Muse on December 21st. See you there, and see you on the road.

Recent Events, October 20th

 This past week. Whew.

Photographed anywhere from two to events a day for the past week, produced two songs to round out Phil Lee's forthcoming album with the Mannish Boys, finished work on another album for release in the coming months, and got to listen to a lost album from a 60s artist that I recently helped in locating. Ah, the thrill of listening to recordings that you never thought you would, as you feel the late-night rush of exhilaration and sleep deprivation.
And so much more, which I hope to tell you about soon.
Here's to those traveling faster than the speed of life. See you soon, and see you on the road.

RIP Pete Rose

When my mom was a child, my grandfather would take her and the family to Geneva Cubs baseball games. In 1960, there was a new player on the Cubs, and my grandfather would point at that player and say, "He's going to do something." That player was Pete Rose.

For all the discussions about Pete that will take place, I just hope that there's a place up there where my grandfather can watch Pete circle the bases again. That's all.

Is this heaven? Yes. And Geneva, NY.

Safe travels, Pete. Here's to you, kid.

RIP Kris Kristofferson

Sunday morning coming down. RIP to Kris Kristofferson, one of the most distinctive voices, and photographable faces I ever had the good fortune to see and hear. I always said that if Mr. Cash wasn't available to narrate my life story, then Mr. Kristofferson would've been just as good.

Until then, good sir, see you in the stars.

Out This Week!

Out this week! A couple of great releases that feature the work of yours truly.

LA Rainbow, the first album in 46 years by Yacht Rock legend Dane Donohue, is out this week on Japan’s P-Vine Records. If you know Dane’s story, you know how massively cool it was to take the interior photos for the album with Dane this past July. Stay tuned for some more Dane Donohue stuff, as well.

Honest Effort, the new album by Time Sawyer, is now ready for your ears. I shot the interior B&W photos on film, using the same battered Canon AE-1 camera I’ve used all of these years. And yes, I need to do more of that again, so my thanks to Sam and TS for putting George back in action.

See you at the record store, and see you on the road.

RIP Bill Flowers

Tuesday morning, honored to be a pallbearer and speak at Bill Flowers' memorial service. So good to see so many Milestone veterans there, and I know that there were many more that wished that they were there. You were there, in spirit.

To those that asked for photos, I generally do not post photos of funerals or memorials, but if you would message me, I will send you a link.

Tonight, the Passing Show returns to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, NC, then the Big Star Radio City show at the Cat's Cradle. Come say hello. This traveler is a little worn out, yet still grateful for the journey.

I know that I referenced the Undertones and MC5 this morning, but this is the song for today. Here's to all the fellow Carnival Kids on the road, and on the Great Highway. See you soon.
