RIP Tommy Scott

I'm saddened to her of the passing of Tommy Scott. "Ramblin' Tommy" began performing in 1941 with Curly Seckler, and later billed his show at The Last Real Medicine Show, complete with Snake Oil. I met him in 2010 at the NC Music Hall of Fame ceremonies, where he posed with Curly, top hat, big grin and all. This incident is recounted in my new book on NC Musicians. Tommy passed away this week at the age of 96, after suffering a car accident in August, truly going out with his boots, and hat on. Safe travels, Tommy. You were truly one of the last of a rare breed.
