The Last Few Days, More Soon

Friday and Saturday, waiting for the hurricane to arrive, photographed Temperance League at Mac's, Jazz Arts Initiative, Old House Studios 20th anniversary, and the Tosco Music Party. Monday, drive through the remnants of the hurricane to see Michael Nesmith and the First National Band at the Birchmere. I've seen a lot of crazy things this year, but that show was one for the ages. Photos coming soon. Thanks for the ride, and see you on the road.

Waiting For Florence

Hello all-

We're doing fine so far, here in Charlotte. The wind has already knocked down a number of limbs and branches, and many of us have had our power flicker, or go out. But the large rain has not arrived yet, as I write this near 4pm, so we're watching the forecast, like everyone else.

Stay safe, wherever you are, and please help those in Eastern NC and SC anyway that you can.

Events From This Week

So, what happened this week, when I wasn't having to postpone the Decades Of Rock show, and watching my Saturday bookings wash away with the tide? Monday, photos of Allegro Foundation golf tourney, and production photos Archipelago for UNC-Charlotte. Tuesday, photos of Inreach's InCelebration, and production and live photos of Alexandro Querevalu at the McGlohon Theater. Wednesday, photos of CoreNet event, and photos of Andre Leon Talley at the Mint Museum Randolph (Yes, when Andre wants his photo taken, he asks for me by name), followed by drinks at a local "speakeasy" while wearing my vintage 1920s boater hat. Thursday, photos of one Atrium Health event, and Gospelshout, awesome as always at the United House Of Prayer. And oh yeah, maybe got the ball rolling on getting local 90s band Relayer reissued. Because yeah, that would be fantastic. Stay safe and stay dry out there. See you in the rain, and see you on the road.

Postponing This Saturday's Decades Of Rock Show, More News Coming Soon

So here's a story about the hurricane. Randy Franklin and the Sardines, and Jake Berger and the Mannish Boys are prepared to rock you like a hurricane on Saturday, but it's best to not Rock during a hurricane. I know, there's calm in your eyes, but you'll keep being blown away, so it's better to be somewhere safer where the feeling stays. So yes, we're postponing our inaugural Decades Of Rock show until a later date. Until then, we'll all be riding the storm out, waiting for the fallout. Spread the word, see you on the Weather Channel, and see you on the road.
