RIP Tom Finn

Godspeed, Tom Finn. Your voice, and your adventures changed my life. You lived several lifetimes, and your stories and music will go on forever. Thank you for letting me be your friend, and document the Left Banke's rebirth. I know that you have many things to tell St. Peter now, but just know that those of us down here will never forget you. Rest easy, you beautiful, complex angel. Say hello to George, Mike, Tom and Steve for me. See you in the next adventure.

August Issue Of Goldmine Magazine

Now that the August issue is in print, I can let you all know that I am now contributing to Goldmine Magazine. I interviewed Jules Alexander, Jim Yester and Russ Giguere of the Association about the band's history, and their plans for their first new album since 1972. Mr. Cash, 17 Years On

Seventeen years ago today, I photographed Johnny Cash's tribute to June Carter Cash at the Carter Family Fold, at the invitation of the Carter Family. Beauty and resilience can come from the saddest of moments. Thank you Mr. Cash, and the Cash and Carter families for giving me the chance to document something that has continued to change my life for the better. See you in the sky, and see you on the road.

Yep Roc 15 Releases Featuring My Photos Now In Bandcamp

In 2012, I photographed the opening night of Yep Roc Records 15th anniversary extravaganza. My diary tells me that I was getting over a cold, and that I drove home from Local 506 at 4am. Eight years later, the photos from that night are being used for digital releases of that night's sets from the Countdown Quartet, Southern Culture On The Skids, and Los Straitjackets. All of these releases are available from Yep Roc's bandcamp page. I'll post the covers in the comments.
