News On Double Door Related Events

Hello all. I wanted to let you all know about a few things coming up relating to the Double Door.

Unforgettable Music Venues Of Charlotte will open at the Charlotte Museum Of History on June 15th (the same weekend as FABFEST, by the way), and features the Double Door, and other music venues in Charlotte's history. There will be large number of items from the Double Door, as well as many photos in my collection. The exhibition will be there for 18 months, and there will be an opening night party on the evening of June 15th, with music by Lenny Federal. And here's the link with more info. (PS, the photo of Lenny on the flyer was taken by Pat Shanklin, and Pat deserves to be recognized for that.)

Bill Hanna will commence a new monthly series at Petra's in June. Go to Petra's site or FB page for all the details, and support Bill, the venue, and jazz in Charlotte.

Temperance League Tomorrow Night At Smokey Joe's

Tomorrow night! Friday night! Smokey Joe's! Temperance League and Diamonds & Whiskey bring the rock and the roll. You just being yourself, and your shaker. Five bucks take away all the pain for three hours. This world needs to Rock, so let's rock. The holiday weekend starts here.

Mod VI Had To Cancel, Temperance League Is Taking Their Place

Hello all. Just a note that the Mod VI have had to cancel their appearance next week at Smokey Joe's, due to some unforeseen health issues. However, the band hopes to be ready for FABFEST in Charlotte next month. The mighty Temperance League will be taking the band's place on May 24th. So, it'll be Temperance League, with Diamonds and Whiskey opening. Boss. See you there.
