Bella Notte

Hello All-

Opera Carolina's Bella Notte gala is a huge annual event here in Charlotte, NC. For the first time, I was tapped to be the photographer for this year's gala. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.

Here are some of the photos on the Charlotte Observer's website. While the photos are credited to me, half of these photos were taken by Dianna Augustine, who I was very happy to take photos during the gala's opening portion. Thought For Today

The lesson today (apart from that jet lag is sometimes a delayed reaction, and can mess with your head, especially on a morning shoot) is that some people will never change, and keep you at bay, no matter how much you genuinely hope that they are doing okay. All you can do is let them go, no matter how much it saddens you to do so.

Post From My FB Page

I flew to Denver, Colorado to photograph The Zombies​ tour on Monday. Finally met Chris White​ and Hugh Grundy, got photos of the band, and got an autographed copy of Odessey & Oracle. Heck. Freaking. Yeah. Photos coming soon. Flew back into Charlotte at 3pm yesterday, and was on a shoot at 5pm. One shoot today, and editing a whole lot of photos. Three shoots on Thursday, three shoots on Friday (so far), and more this weekend. RIP and safe travels, Doug Mayes. Life is an exhausting adventure, and I count myself lucky every day that I take on the next adventure. Here's to still being hung up on a dream. See you on the road.
