RIP Sarah Belk Gambrell

Two years ago, I photographed Sarah Belk Gambrell, a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday. As always, she loved seeing all of her friends, and posed for photos. We timed coverage of that event to coincide with her birthday, so we could wish Sarah a happy birthday alongside her photos. And if I ever make into a society column at 100 years old, I'll consider that a job well done. RIP Sarah. Thank you for all of the years of supporting this city, and the things you loved. Until I photograph you again, someday.
