Recent Photos And Upcoming Events

The last couple of weeks. Yeah.

Photos of several galas, several concerts, designing artwork for new singles for the Strawberry Alarm Clock and the Cyrkle, prepping for the Cyrkle's Revival album on vinyl (coming in July), working with Shawn Lynch on the artwork for the new Strawberry Alarm Clock record (coming later this year), prepping for the announcement of my next record production. And more. So much more.
After 35 years away, I returned to Independence High last week to see the current Playmakers take the stage. Long ago, that theater was a big part of my life. As they say, nothing has changed, and everything has changed. It was nice to return for a moment, make peace with the past, and know that the space still means something to those who inhabit it now.
RIP to Chip Taylor (the first musician I met in Austin, TX when I first visited the city in 2002), Augie Meyers, Jon Dee Graham, Wayne Jernigan, and several others on the Great Highway.
If you are at the Big Star Quintet show tomorrow night at the , come by and say hello. Per usual, I'll be lurking in the corners.
Stand by for news. Honk Honk.
See you there, and see you on the road.

Events From The First Week Of March

This past week. Photos of several luncheons and galas, Eastland Sports groundbreaking, Peter Rowan and the Doc Watson tribute show at the Neighborhood Theatre, Patrick Page at UNC Charlotte, and grand return to the recording studio.

A note to my longtime friend Jonathan Adams and his family. Joan Adams was, and will always a lovely person, and we are better for having her in our lives. Now she lives forever. Jonathan, it was wonderful to see you again, albeit for circumstances than we would have wished. And I hope to see you again soon.
Love to all, hang in there, and keep creating some good out there. See you in the stars, and see you on the road.

Safe travels out there, hug your friends and loved ones, and see you on the road.

Last Day Of 2024

Yesterday was a remarkable day to (almost) close out a remarkable year.

Completed my collection of Cyrkle promo 45s, to cap off my producing their first album in 57 years. Received a copy of The Avett Brothers Swept Away Broadway program, which now sits next to my Marx Brothers Broadway program from 1924. And received promo copies of my next record production, which will be announced in two weeks.

Then went to Amos' Southend for the Avett Press On fundraiser, with Paleface, and the grand return of David Childers and his eight-piece band to the stage. It was an amazing and emotional evening, capped off by appearances by Bob Crawford and Tania Elizabeth.

Thank you all for being part of one of the busiest, most creative, chaotic, and at times unbelievable years of my life. And there is much more to come. Stay tuned.

If you're at The Avett Brothers NYE show tonight, come by and say hello as I close out the year.

Go forth, keep going, and don't be scared.

See you there, and see you on the road.
