Now that has let the news slip out, I can tell you about one of the projects that I’ve been working on the last two years in collaboration with Jason Rhoden, Chad & Jeremy’s longtime manager and archivist, and his team.
It has been a journey. Through Mitch Easter, I found a place in Pennsylvania that has been digitizing Chad’s master tapes and demo reels. With the help of Doug Williams, my longtime friend and fellow 1960s fan, we have been transferring the music that Chad recorded on numerous hard drives. This music has then been sent to Jeremy in London, so that he again record with Chad.
What we have found, and continue to find has been staggering. Multiple albums of material that I didn’t know existed when we began this project. Work that Chad did for himself, as well as others. Chad spent his entire life creating music. The fact that so much of it has survived through the years is nothing short of a miracle.
Soon, you will hear more about the next stages for this adventure, and how you can be a part of it. Much has been done, but there is much more left to do. We are still working to preserve and share Chad’s work, and you will be amazed by what we continue to find.
To Chad & Jeremy manager Jason Rhoden and his team, I say thank you. To Jeremy, I say thank you. To Chad Stuart, whom I first met twenty years ago, and loved working with through the years, thank you. Chad, I know that you would’ve looked at me and said, “Why are you doing all of this, ol’ bean? You should be getting a proper job.” To which I would have replied, “Because it should be done, and I want to”. And I miss you.
Find something you love, preserve it, and share it with the world.
And it so begins.
Stay tuned.
