Lynn Blakey was, and will always be a burst of sunshine in a world of ever-changing darkness. She was one of the first people I met and photographed when my world began to expand beyond Charlotte. To know her, was to be her friend. To hear her, was to be an forever fan.
Lynn's story will continue beyond this day. She, what she created, and what she meant to us, now belongs to everyone. To those who hear her voice now, and in the days to come. To those of us that knew her, she will never truly leave us. She changed our lives for the better. Sooner or later, it's all we can hope for.
Sail on, Lynn, aboard the tidal waves. For while we continue on down here with the falling of columnated ruins, we will always treasure your time with us. It was a wonderful thing, like a children's song.
