My Upcoming Shows In Charlotte

Spread the word! I've got two shows coming up in the next month that I hope to see you at.

1. Maya Beth Atkins wil bring it all back home to the Evening Muse on July 31st. Maya will again be backed by the band that made her debut album. Jason Atkins, Dan Hood, Mike Kenerley and Shawn Lynch. National touring act Electric Mud opens the show. You want to rock? So do we. 

2. My last Smokey Joe's show of the year is the Aqualads making their long-awaited return to the venue on August 2nd, with Modern Primitives opening. 9pm doors, 10pm Rock, and all for $5.

This world needs to rock, so let's rock. See you there, and see you on the road.

Maya Beth Atkins CD Release Party On Sunday

Around this time last year, I happened to catch Maya Beth Atkins at the Pizza Peel. Her mom told me that they trying to figure out how to get Maya's debut album put together. I said, "Give me a day, and I'll put this together." Because, like many of you, I wanted to see this album exist. On Sunday, through the efforts of myself, Chris Garges, Shawn Lynch, Mike Kenerley, Dan Hood, Jason Atkins and Maya Beth, you can see and hear that record. Sooner or later, you hope to create the things that you like to see happen, and my thanks to everyone for being a part of this journey. See you on Sunday, and see you on the road.

Over the past year, one of my most rewarding projects has been Maya Beth Atkins' debut album. I wanted to see this record happen, so I helped to put this together. I also knew that with the right people- Chris Garges, Dan Hood, David Kim, Mike Kenerley, Shawn Lynch, and Jason Atkins- I knew that this would be a great record. You can hear the results for your yourself on August 5th, when Maya Beth holds her album release party at the Evening Muse.
